Community commitment — Go Forest
The name Quiver Tree Projects refers to the quiver tree, found mainly in Namibia. A tree that grows more slowly than most, yet can live for hundreds of years — tough, adapted to a harsh environment, and surprisingly resilient. An image I recognise myself in: companies and organisations don't build a strong digital foundation in a single year either — it takes time, patience and the right choices.
My family and I love to travel far and wide. The name Quiver Tree Projects isn't a coincidence — it's inspired by our trip through Namibia, where we first came face to face with these remarkable trees. If we ever won the lottery, we'd open a lodge there and raise rhinos — until then, we'll keep traveling and dreaming.
On a trip to Peru, we saw firsthand the long-term effects of years of deforestation. Through Go Forest's reforestation projects, we try to play a small part in restoring nature there, and in offering a new future to the people who live there.
